LEGO Technic Climbing Car: Obstacle Challenge
I built a quite simple Lego car to climb obstacles. Find this model quite interesting and also it lightweight. Weight was reduced by replacing alkaline batteries with 1200 Li-ion rechargeable batteries. In addition, I used mini motors instead of Lego M-motors, they are also much lighter and smaller. But, to connect the mini motors to Lego HUB, I had to use DIY Power Functions to Powered Up adapters (they are not sold in stores).
For the obstacles that the Lego car climbs, I used pieces of wood covered with black self-adhesive PVC film. It is not anti-slip, but I think it still has a higher coefficient of friction. At first, I wanted to use just polished wood, but I wanted to add some contrast to the scene, and black film do the job.
