Fretboard familiarity, memorizing the notes on the neck, increasing your fretboard knowledge. We all want these things. But memorizing the notes on the fretboard can seem like a daunting task...on the guitar I'm holding, there are 132 possible notes to play!
Mapping octaves to the fretboard allows you to build a reliable scaffolding that you can use to find ANY NOTE you need, and also doubles as a way to map and keep ANY new information on the neck!
