Large Swarm April 28 2020

Large Honey Bee Swarm This is one of the largest swarms I have ever witnessed exiting one of my hives. Their behavior was not what I was familiar with. I did not expect to see the bees return to the hive after taking flight high above the apiary. I lifted the lid the next day and there were plenty of bees inside. So I do not think the swarm I mentioned seeing in a pine tree the next morning was from this hive. I need to go through all of my hives now and make sure each one has a virgin queen that hopefully stayed behind. Thanks for watching.
