LA Times Impossible Sudoku [March 9, 2025] | FILL THE GRID
Watch me solve today's Los Angeles Times Impossible sudoku puzzle (March 9. 2025). This was a fun puzzle, and we got to use an XY-wing which was very nice. If you are not sure what an XY-wing is (sometimes just called a Y-wing), it involves three bi-value cells (example: one cell limited to XY, another limited to XZ, and another limited to YZ). One cell will be the "pivot" - that is the cell that sees both "wings" (usually by being in the same box as one wing, and the same row or column as the other wing). The common digit in the wings is the digit you are looking to eliminate in any other cell you can find that sees both wings. I will provide a link below to a great video I found that explains it very clearly. Once you know what it is, they are not terribly hard to spot. They come in very handy for tougher puzzles. Don't forget to like and subscribe. Have a great day!
