The lecture took place in the Dipoli building just four weeks after the dramatic stabbing of Saarinen on March 5th, 2014 by a disturbed young man. With the help of Saarinen's assistant Jaakko Korhonen and outsiders, the attacker was apprehended on the spot into police custody. After surgery, Saarinen recovered fully.
