Kamov Ka-26 fish pond disinfection near Öreglak, Hungary

Nowadays not an everyday sight a Kamov Ka-26 flying in December. This helicopter was invented to do a disinfectant spraying flight to a fish pound near Öreglak. In fishing its a general procedure that after the main season the water is drained from the lake. After the fish pond is empty it have to be disinfected before filled with water again. Its usually done with hypo. In spite of the cold weather the engines started easily. After the take off the pilot made a short test flight, than flew to the work area. The area was very unusual for us, we accostumed to the plow lands. It flown in the Hungarian Air Service between 1977-1989, was used for agricultural flights. After 1989 Agrokopter Kft. bought it and the chopper is still operates with them. The chopper stations in Kéthely, not far from Lake Balaton. After 1989 a lot of small aviation companies made sightseeing flights around Lake Balaton. This Kamov Ka-26 operated from Balatonkeresztúr airport and made sightseeing flights with passanger cabin. Int he agricultural season the team used the helicopter in passanger flights and agricultural flights too. She got the special color scheme for sightseeing flights, for me that makes her the loveliest chopper in the word. Unfortunately during the years the special color scheme run-down. Nem mindennapi látvány manapság egy permetező Kamov Ka-26 december közepén. A gép személyzete egy halastó fertőtlenítéséről szóló megrendelés miatt rakta össze a gépet a tél közepén. Bevett procedúra a horgászatban a szezon után leengedett tavak kifertőtlenítése. Általában gyalogosan szokták csinálni a dolgozók, de idén a sok talajnedvesség miatt szükségük volt a helikopterre. A fertőtlenítést általában hypoval végzik el. A hideg ellenére a Kamov motorjai mondhatni „pöccre” indultak a kéthelyi telephelyen. A pilóta felszállás után csinált egy tesztrepülést, majd megindította a gépet a munkaterület felé. A leengedett tómeder nagyon szokatlan volt számunkra, nyáron mindig a szántóföldön találkozunk a típussal. Permetezés közben a rotorlapátok erős durrogó hangot adtak, ami szerencsére nagyon jól kijön a videón. http://youtu.be/YeleR-d6oHM?t=4m56s 1977-ben Kumertauban, Oroszországban gyártották ezt a gépet a Magyar Mezőgazdasági és Élelmezési Minisztérium Repülőgépes Szolgálata számára. 77-ben állt szolgálatba permetező helikopterként és 1989-ig az RSz flottájában repült. A rendszerváltás után az Agrokopter Kft. vásárolta fel és a mai napig náluk repül. A helikopter Kéthelyen állomásozik Marcalitól nem messze, a Balatontól pár kilóméterrel délre. A rendszerváltás után sok kisebb cég foglalkozott a Balaton körüli sétarepülésekkel. Ez a Kamov Ka-26 is sétarepültetett a Balatonkeresztúri repülőtérről utaskabinnal. A helikopter különleges festést kapott a sétarepülésekhez, máig ezt a festést viseli. Számomra ez a legszebb és legcsodálatosabb Kamov a világon, annak ellenére is, hogy festése kicsit megkopott az évek során.
