Although her cause of death was from a gunshot wound, investigators believe her killer set her one-bedroom cabin on fire in order to burn potential evidence. And while it’s been nearly 13 years since her murder, it has yet to be solved. What’s interesting though, is that police were able to identify a person of interest on the very same day they found her body. It turns out that a few hours before she died, Sarah made a cryptic post on Facebook, talking about sleeping with her “windows wide open” and about wanting someone she called “batshit crazy boy” to leave her alone. Police quickly determined who “batshit crazy boy” is but again, there was never enough evidence to make an arrest.
