John Monkman 'Modwonk' | Track Breakdown | Anjunadeep

Here’s a breakdown of my track 'Modwonk', just been released on Anjunadeep. Modwonk was one of those surprise creations – I was supposed to be working on something else, but opened a fresh session and this strange, melodic, UK-bass-tinged idea just poured out. I followed it all the way through. In this video, I walk you through some of the drum programming, synthesis on the Arturia Buchla Easel, and a few sound design ideas that went into the track.
