Doing a compression and leak down test on the Onan P218 in the 1988 John Deere 318. This is part 1 of a series on fixing this machine. Several weeks ago the machine started making terrible valve noise. Most likely this issue is only a valve adjustment. However, all the bases should be covered before taking the engine apart.
