Jeff Cavins: Former Non-denominational Minister - The Journey Home Program
Jeff was raised in a good loving Catholic home. When he was 18, his Evangelical girlfriend led him to a personal relationship with Christ. After high school, he had a rift from his father and the Church and decided to go to an Evangelical Bible College. Upon graduation, he worked briefly in radio, and was eventually ordained as a Protestant minister. After pastoring for about 8 years, Jeff started seeing passages in the Bible that sounded more Catholic than Protestant, on such topics as Apostolic Authority, Tradition, and the Eucharist. When Jeff saw St. John Paul II on television at World Youth Day, in Denver in 1993, he realized that that was his Father and his family, and he must return Home to the Catholic Church.
