Is prompt engineering a basic skill? Is prompt engineering... even engineering? In the video, I'll take us all the way back to the 11th century to find some answers! Writing ambiguous prompts is fine and dandy when you don't really care about the immediate quality of the output. When I ask for a poem about bananas, I don't really care what comes out, since I can always try again. There's no harm in being ambiguous with my prompt; who knows, maybe I'll win the output lottery by accident. But when you care about specific output quality, you reduce your prompt's ambiguity.
