Is multiculturalism dead? Nigel Farage speaks to The Daily T in Dover
Nigel Farage has given a press conference in Dover as Reform ramp up their campaigning with the local elections just over a week away. He made immigration the central plank of his speech, saying that “we must discriminate when it comes to who can come into our country. We must choose who the right people are regardless of race, religion, or geography”. Speaking to The Daily T afterwards, Farage said that multiculturalism had been a “huge error” encouraged by the Labour Party under Tony Blair, and that “successive governments haven’t thought it mattered” Camilla and Kamal reflect on Farage’s comments, as well as Tomiwa Owolade’s article in The Daily Telegraph today about how multiculturalism has “failed Britain”. They also cross to Sweden to speak to journalist and Kosovan immigrant Diamant Salihu about how the multicultural dream there has gone fatally wrong - how a country that once prided itself on welcoming migrants is suffering the effects of a crime epidemic driven by ethnic mafias from the Balkans and the Middle East.
