Installation of Dark Field Condenser on i4 Microscope

Mike Thomas explains, in vivid close up detail, the proper installation and use of the OIL Darkfield Condenser on the i4 microscope. You'll see how to remove the Brightfield Condenser and install the OIL Darkfield Condenser, followed by the application of immersion oil and the height adjustment process for proper oil spread under the slide. Then you'll learn the alignment process to center the light field under each objective. Finally, watch as Mike installs the special 100x Darkfield Oil Objective and opens and closes the built-in iris to achieve Darkfield viewing at 1,000x magnification!
