INESS Value Framework for Health and Social Services Assessment

Appraising the value of interventions in health and social services – INESSS’ multidimensional value framework To evaluate an intervention in health and social services means to make a judgment on its value. But how to define a truly valuable intervention? Can we use the same definition across the many different interventions that health and social technology assessment (HSTA) agencies are called to evaluate? And, after all, why do we need to ask these questions? This workshop will present INESSS’ approach to value appraisal and invite the participants to explore the underlying concepts and the practical utility of value frameworks for HSTA agencies.
