Important bits on a Caravan

I do lots of training on the Cessna C208 Caravan series, and have been requested to do some general info videos on the Pratt and Whitney PT6 and the aeroplane. This video is a general walk around of the Cessna Caravan and hopefully provides a general overview of the C208, purely for interest only! This particular machine is a C208B Grand Caravan, fitted with the PT6-114A turboprop. In this video, we talk a bit about the engine, the fuel control unit (FCU), and a walk around of the airframe. In the cockpit, we have a look at the engine controls and the levers associated with a turboprop. In subsequent videos we’ll talk through the PT6 start up procedure, and more in depth into the operation of the caravan.
