I'm Worried About Player Housing in World of Warcraft

Player Housing is coming to World of Warcraft here soon enough, and Blizzard has given us our first (second?) look at the system via a large Blue Post, explaining what their philosophy is going forward. In this Blue Post, Blizzard Entertainment certainly goes over a lot of really good stuff for the future of World of Warcraft, but also raises some points that are a bit concerning. But what do you all think? I don't want to see Blizzard repeat their mistakes with Garrisons in the past, with this new feature of player housing. Instead, I truly want Player Housing to be something special for World of Warcraft - something that no other MMO can match. Can this be pulled off?
