A running lead setup for silt, rocks or weed and with leader or tubing.
Picking the right running rig system is a bit tricky. I’ve tried lots of off the shelf running rig systems and they all have issues. For the past couple of years, I’ve been testing this setup on a variety of waters and it ticks all the boxes. Best thing about it is that if the lead gets trapped, the run ring breaks at 10 lbs of force so I can break the rig free if I have to.
The running lead system I show in this video is a custom kit made from a few bits and pieces which work brilliantly together and I’ve got a rig tubing version and a leader version. The two main components are a Fox run ring and a Nash Heli sleeve. I’ve been fishing with this system for a few years on various waters and it’s an absolute winner.
