Idaho college survivors' text messages reveal new details of final hours | Banfield
Steve Goncalves, father of University of Idaho victim Kaylee Goncalves, joins “Banfield” to discuss recently released details about the final hours of the victims who were stabbed to death. Text messages disclosed that Dylan Mortensen, one of the surviving roommates, saw Xana Kernodle lying on the floor and assumed she was drunk. Both Mortensen and Bethany Funke locked themselves in a room and spent eight hours trying to contact the victims.
Goncalves defends their actions, telling NewsNation's Ashleigh Banfield they “weren’t really prepared mentally to accept what was happening.”
