I Tried Ancient Roman Menstruation Underwear

During one of my amateur research rabbit holes, I came across an intriguing ancient Roman undergarment, the subligaculum. This led me to suspect that perhaps this garment may have been worn during menstruation, effectively making it the equivalent of modern-day period underwear. I decided to make my own subligaculum and try wearing it for one of the heaviest days of my menstruation to see whether or not it works for the task at hand.
