Equestrian TikTok star Demir returns to the channel, and this time the pressure is on… because I’m in charge of giving him a crash course (not literally… we hope 😬) in cross-country training ahead of his very first one-day event. Yes, you read that right—Demir, who has never done dressage or a cross country round in his life, has signed himself up for a full-on competition. And no big deal… it’s happening in 48 hours. What could possibly go wrong? (Foreshadowing? Maybe…) His lovely horse Cabrio, a talented 135cm showjumper, finds this new world of ditches, water, and solid fences a bit of a culture shock. But we work super hard in this session to help them both build confidence, especially through the water and over technical combinations. Honestly, considering how last-minute this was, I was so impressed with their attitude and how much we got done. Also making a return is my gorgeous Jam, who’s tackling her first cross country session in 10 months after recovering from an injury. It was emotional seeing her back out there, and I’d love to know if you think she’s ready to come back to eventing properly. And yes… we do need to talk about how I rode. Not my finest hour—I may have been slightly stressed, slightly overthinking, or possibly both. But hey, we’re all learning.
