I HATE That I LOVE Assassin's Creed Origins
After years of avoiding Assassin’s Creed Origins and after years of putting it off I finally got around to it and my god, do I feel strongly about it. I often listen to what you guys and gals in the comments say and based on your words, I was going into this game expecting it to blow me away as you had all stated it was by far the best in the new trilogy. Well, not ALL of you but a majority of you got my hopes up and as it turns out, I am head over heels for this game. Everything about it from the combat, stealth, exploration, the architecture of Egypt, the mythos of Egypt, and Bayeks story all were so much fun that I ruined my sleep schedule purely due to the absurd number of times I said, “I should really go to bed... gah let me just do one more thing”. I think it goes without saying but I believe this game is MILES ahead of Odyssey and Kilometres ahead of Valhalla. The entire time I played I was having so much fun and yet, by the end of the 25-hour campaign, I felt this wave of sadness wash over me. I came to this realization of why this game was so good for me, and more unfortunately why it was so good for a lot of other people. I realize that the reasons I love this game don’t necessarily line up with what everyone else likely loved about it. It is the tenth major installment in the Assassin's Creed series. Principally set in Egypt, near the end of the Ptolemaic period (49–43 BC), the story follows a Medjay named Bayek of Siwa and his wife Aya, and explores the origins of the millennia-long conflict between the Hidden Ones—forerunners to the Assassin Brotherhood—who fight for peace by promoting liberty, and The Order of the Ancients—forerunners to the Templar Order—who desire peace through the forced imposition of order. The narrative also includes sequences set during the 21st century, which follow a new character, Layla Hassan. Featuring a large open world, Origins adopted elements from role-playing video games and incorporated an overhauled "hitbox-based" combat system. The game's development began following the release of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (2013). Ubisoft Montreal led its four-year development with help from a team of nearly 700 people from other Ubisoft studios around the world. The team consulted Egyptologists and historians extensively to ensure the setting was authentically represented in the game. Welcome to Assassin's Creed Origins. In this Assassin's Creed Origins Review, which is long enough to be called an Assassin's Creed Origins Critique. Assassin's Creed Origins 4 Years Later, has seen alot of positive praise from fans and critics alike but in this Assassin's Creed Origins Analysis, we will look at why this is. This Assassin's Creed Origins Retrospective is a bit of a different one because, as I’m sure the title I HATE That I LOVE Assassin's Creed Origins implies, my feeling are a little conflicted. With the announcement of Assassin's Creed New games, it’s important to look back at Origins. I read Assassin's Creed Origins Guides, watched lets plays, played the game, watched Assassin's Creed Retrospectives, and studied Assassin's Creed Infinity, just to make sure I had all the information required. Video made by That Boy Aqua, and is the final RPG game in my That Boy Aqua Assassin's Creed series. I hate assassins creed origins, I love assassins creed origins, but hopefully I can find some middle ground.
