I Explored The Islamic Capital Of The UK 🇬🇧Birmingham Vlog
Join me on a day trip as I travel from Nottingham to Birmingham by train to explore what many consider to be the most Muslim-friendly city in the UK. From the moment I arrived at Birmingham’s train station, I was surprised to find a dedicated prayer room, a sign of the city’s welcoming and diverse atmosphere. Starting my day, I headed to a small Arab café for a delicious breakfast of traditional tea and food, experiencing the rich culture firsthand. INSTAGRAM : Islamlewis After breakfast, I set out to explore the bustling shopping district, including the iconic Bullring. My mission was to find a new backpack, and I spent time wandering through the shops and markets, discovering just how diverse Birmingham really is. One of the highlights of my trip was stumbling upon Birmingham's China Town. I was shocked by how beautiful it was, showcasing yet another aspect of the city’s vibrant cultural mix. Later, I took a moment to help a homeless woman by buying her some food, reflecting on the sense of community in this diverse city. My next stop was one of Birmingham’s mosques for Jummah prayer. While inside the mosque, I had an embarrassing moment when my phone accidentally played music. Despite that, I was able to perform the Jummah prayer and film the experience in POV, which gave a real insight into the sense of unity within Birmingham’s Muslim community. After prayer, I spoke to a few local Muslims who shared their perspectives on life in Birmingham, including their concerns about safety in the area. The conversation was eye-opening and gave me a deeper understanding of what life in the city might be like. I also met a man who had been through a terrible experience with human tfin. He wanted to raise awareness about the issue, and we had a heartfelt conversation that added a serious note to my journey. Finally, I caught the train back to Nottingham, reflecting on my eye-opening day in Birmingham.
