I Drove Past this OVERGROWN YARD Every Time Until I KNOCKED On the DOOR
Every week I drove by this house, watching it become more and more overgrown each time. It was obvious that no one was taking care of the yard, so I decided to knock on the door and offer my help, but no one answered, and as I was about to leave, the woman on the other side of the house came up to me and told me that the owner of the front yard was long gone, and she only kept the inside of the house clean and didn't have the right tools to clean up the yard. So I offered my help and said I would do the work for free.
Before starting to work with the trimmer to remove weeds from the parking lot, I had to collect acorns in a bag, which were falling from a tree, as they were dangerous and could damage cars or harm people passing by. Then I started working with the trimmer and removed all the weeds, first from the parking lot and then along the road and near the entrance, only one car parked next to it was an inconvenience.
When I finished my work at the front door a man came up to me and asked if I had time to remove weeds from the parking lot near the pizzeria, I said I could do it and went across the street. When I finished the job, which took about 30 minutes, the owner of the pizzeria asked me how much he should pay me, I said there wasn't much work and I wouldn't take any money, then he gave me lunch and drinks as a thank you.
When I got back I finished the trimmer and started cutting the tall grass with the lawnmower, the problem was that it had rained a lot last night and the grass was wet, so it kept clogging the lawnmower and it kept stalling. After mowing the grass, I bagged it and then mowed it again with the grass catcher.
I then proceeded to trim the laurel hedge with the Stihl HSA86, as the branches were not too thick I was quickly done with this trimmer. As I trimmed the laurel bush on the side of the road, an elderly man came up to me and asked what the camera on the tripod was for, he thought I was taking photos, but I explained that I was videoing my work.
Since I started the work in the afternoon, it was getting close to evening and it was starting to get dark, so I quickly bagged everything and loaded it on the trailer and used the Stihl BR800 blower to clear the sand from the sidewalk and parking lot.
I wanted to finish the job by clearing the parking lot of some moss with a brush trimmer, but I was running out of time, so I'll try to do that job another time.
The whole job took me about 4 hours.
