I Didn't Expect to FIND a STONE TERRACE Under a Layer of Thick Grass
On the recommendation of one of my clients, a woman asked me for help, that I would come and mow the overgrown lawn, she sent me a photo of the yard in advance, that would be potiatnos how much in some places sprawled grass, so on the appointed day I arrived with my garden tractor.
Having walked around the yard I realized that it will not be so easy, besides in the yard was a mess, a lot of furniture and other things, as explained to me by the landlady it was left from the past tenants who moved out but threw all the furniture at home and in the yard.
I started the work with a Stihl KMA 135 trimmer to remove weeds from the sidewalk and also around the perimeter of the lawn, then moved to the backyard where I also knocked down all the grass around the perimeter, I even found a hand scythe that was hanging on a tree that was in the corner of the yard, probably it was left from the past owners.
When the work with the trimmer was finished I started mowing the grass on the lawn mower, but since my tractor is not powerful enough, I removed the grass catcher box, that would first cut all the grass on the “out” and then mow with the grass catcher box. In the front yard the work was quite easy and fast, because the grass was not very thick, then I started to mow the backyard where, before that I collected the cut grass in bags in the backyard and at this point I noticed that under the grass stones, or rather it is an overgrown terrace, then I realized that the usual trimmer and shovel I will not do anything here, so I started further work. On the tractor I had to mow several times with each time lowering the height of mowing, because the grass was high and lawnmower several times clogged and I had to clean it. When I finished mowing I collected all the cut grass in my green bags, I also used two kinds of bags for 272l and 500l.
The next day I brought my “weed eater” and first removed the weeds from the sidewalk near the house, thus freeing up a little bit and widening the path, then I collected and blew everything out, then I moved to the backyard, I did this a few times, then cleaned up and blew everything out, then moved back to the wall of the house.
Finally I decided to trim the small hedge that was along the road.
I did this job for two days, the first day 4 hours and the second day 3 hours.
I also took out almost a full trailer of green waste!
