I BOUGHT A $90,000 RANGE ROVER FOR $2,000, CAN WE FIX IT?
I bought a broken down range rover that went for over $90,000 when it was new, and purchased it for only $2,000. I attempt to fix everything wrong with it and along the way we find out the timing chains are bad, it had many coolant leaks and that the previous owner ran it on only 2 qts of oil. Luckily for us the range rover seemed to not be affected by the low oil level. We looked through the oil filter and again after an oil change and found no metal debris. Once we got all that sorted we found out the catalytic converters were going bad and we also had a bad throttle body which kept putting the range rover in restricted performance causing it to die several times while out on a drive and also caused the idle to surge. After many days of working on it we got it running like new and now use it as a daily driver!
