Humber Imperial V8: Lord Rootes' factory-built luxury hot rod

Most Humber Super Snipes and Imperials left the factory with a six-cylinder engine, but half a dozen prototypes were made with Chrysler V8s, and then a further half a dozen pre-production cars. Lord Rootes himself used to be chauffeured about in an Imperial V8, and it’s that car which now resides in the Isle of Man Motor Museum. Here, its owner Darren Cunningham tells all about it and he also offers some insight into some of the other special Humbers in the collection.
