We are nestled at the foothills of a small mountain range, and we love it here. We have lived here for almost 2 years this June. We love our home/cottage so much, that we decided to give it a name. We settled on the name of Frau Holle Cottage after German Goddess of Winter. You see.....our first Winter here at Frau Holle Cottage was Magical. We received 3 or 4 days of snow, and everyone said that they had not seen that much snow in 20 years in town. It does snow here but it usually melts quickly. I was thrilled because I adore the season of Winter because for us, living in Southern California, snow is a treat.....unless of course you live in the upper mountain communities.
