Single handed gimbals are a powerful tool for weddings. They can replace sliders or monopods on some parts of the day, but I still bring my monopod to every wedding. Here's how I use the DJI RS2 on a wedding day.
A couple of notes:
1. If you want to use an EF Canon 24-105mm for gimbal work I suggest the version 1 and to balance at about 50mm. The newer versions are much larger causing the lens to be thrown too far out of balance while zooming. With the v1, I'm able to zoom the full range and the RS2 can keep up using.
2. With any type of camera movement, gimbals sliders, etc, there will still be some imperfections in the movement from time to time. The goal is to have the footage be as steady as possible, and if needed add a touch of post-stabilization to make it perfect.
