Rectangular Fin example problem solving for fin efficiency, fin effectiveness, and heat transfer through the fin. Along the way, we'll find the Fin Perimeter, 2 different Fin Areas, the Fin Cross Sectional Area, and the overall Fin Area (ie Fin Surface Area), Fin Corrected Length, and the Fin Parameter m - which doesn't really have a name. Sad. We could name it "TA Serenity's Number"?
Extended surface with uniform cross section problems are definitely the easier version of these types of problems you could face, just find the right version of the fin equation, and plug n chug. If your professor puts one on your hwk or test, I want you to get to a confidence level where you consider this very manageable. Or even better, you are super confident.
