How to SOLO over a 12 BAR BLUES progression
In this video we discuss a handy tip for making your blues solos extra tasty!
Playing the blues scale is inevitable and essential, but playing just one scale over a whole progression can get tedious for the listener, especially if it's for multiple choruses.
So a great tip is to play the blues scale over the '1' chord, and chord tones (1/3/5/7) over all the other chords. This works for ALL varieties of blues progression and is a great way to sound like your articulating the changes whilst keeping your solo cool and bluesy!
