How To Restore Rotted, CRUMBLING Sill Plate, Studs and Sheeting. Fix it so it never happens again!

Today I tackle the rotting crumbling garage wall. Water leaking in from the window and dirt sitting against the wall completely rotted out this section of the garage wall making it a nightmare. The window framing, studs, bottom plate and sheathing were all completely rotted away. We couldn’t install the new siding over this, so we have to repair it. In the video we identify what caused the problem and come up with a plan on how to fix the structural problems. I show how I repaired them, address the root causes for a long term fix, and improve the whole assembly so it never re-occurs. Also as part of this video, we also expand the size of the window to let more light into the garage.
