The rendered fat is used as a key ingredient to a homemade suet recipe which uses animal fat, peanut butter, quick oats, cornmeal, and flour. The leftover cracklings are also used to feed wild birds. This suet is excellent at attracting wild birds. And animal fat is good for birds as it is high in energy and contains healthy fats.
