In this video, I show you how to paint trim with a brush and roller set up here are the Materials Needed:
Trim Paint (semi-gloss or satin)
Angled Brush (2–3 inches)
Small Roller (4–6 inches, microfiber or foam cover)
Paint Tray
Painter’s Tape (optional)
Drop Cloth or Plastic Sheeting
Paint Stir Stick
Step-by-Step Process:
Prep the Area: Lay down a drop cloth and tape off the trim edges to protect walls or floors.
Stir the Paint: Mix the paint thoroughly with a stir stick.
Cut In with Brush: Use the angled brush to paint the edges and corners of the trim, taking care around walls or ceilings.
Roll the Trim: Dip the small roller into the paint tray, then roll it over the flat parts of the trim in even strokes. Use an extension pole if needed for higher areas.
Touch Up: Check for drips or missed spots and touch up with the brush.
Apply a Second Coat (If Needed): Let the first coat dry fully before applying a second coat if necessary.
Finish: Remove painter’s tape carefully once the paint is dry, and allow the trim to dry completely before using.
This method ensures smooth, even coverage and clean lines for a professional-looking finish!
