Want to make thick, creamy, and delicious low-fat Greek yogurt at home for just $2.60 per gallon? In this video, I’ll show you a simple, step-by-step method to make homemade Greek yogurt using just 2% milk and a little leftover yogurt as a starter. No fancy equipment needed!
✨ Ingredients:
1 gallon of 2% milk
5-10 tablespoons of leftover Greek yogurt (as a starter)
🔥 Instructions:
1️⃣ Boil the milk – Heat 1 gallon of milk until it reaches a boil.
2️⃣ Cool it down – Let the milk cool to 105-110°F.
3️⃣ Add the yogurt starter – Mix in your leftover Greek yogurt.
4️⃣ Let it sit – Cover with a lid and towel, then let it ferment for 14-48 hours (mine was ready in just 14 hours!).
5️⃣ Strain for thickness – For ultra-thick yogurt, strain through cheesecloth for 12 hours.
That’s it! Now you have better-than-store-bought Greek yogurt that’s packed with probiotics, budget-friendly, and super easy to make at home.
