How to draw the head from different angles: The Skull

Let’s jump in. Learning how to draw a skull is not a simple endeavor, but it's a crucial part of any artist's skill set so it's worth putting in the time to learn how to do it well. The head is a very complex structure, so there are a lot of tips and tricks to master that'll make it a simpler process. The head is an incredibly complex structure. If you are not smart enough to process all that complexity at the same time, so let’s try to break it down into a couple simple shapes, which, for heads, is (1) a sphere for the cranium, and (2) a pyramid for the nose. Using these two basic shapes, you can set up the foundation for a drawing of a head at any angle. ▶️ Landmarks & proportions: let's start with some very basic shapes because if we have the first basic shape then it's already a lot easier. There are a couple of very important elements that we can actually use. - Side of the plate - The hairline - The eyebrows - Underside of the nose - The chin Now in this drawing all these elements are approximately the same height of course this differs from face to face but approximately these are the same height. Now another thing that we need to be aware of is like this is the first range we need to go to and the second step is actually going a little bit further. In this step we divide the skull into four pieces. Those are: - The keystone - The underside of the eyes - The line of the mouth - The top of the chin In this video then I try to draw a skull these landmark and properties.
