How To Do A Salchow Jump in Figure Skates!
Hello Skaters! Welcome back! Last week I shared a bit of history about Ulrich Salchow, The first Men's Figure Skating Olympic Champion, and this week I am teaching you how to do his jump, The Salchow. This is usually the first jump I teach my students that rotates all the way around, So if you are doing waltz jumps successfully, maybe now it is time to try the Salchow jump! Fun fact, even though it is considered a 'full rotation jump' it is actually only a 3/4 rotation jump as some of the rotation happens as you lift off the ice!
