I've been seeing way too many videos of people claiming to be "chopping" or people teaching how to "chop" when in reality, all they're doing is teaching someone how to skate backwards & 'crossover'. The chop is a specific way in which we skate as London skaters & just because you skate backwards in Ice- Hockey converts does not mean you "chop". It's time to finally break down what the chop actually is before we carry on passing misinformation to the next generation & the world. This is coming from someone who's been skating in London for 13 years. This is "The Chop".
