How to build a swarm trap or bait hive to catch honey bees. Part 1 of a season long series.

This is how I build a swarm trap I use 5 and 6 deep frame traps. I lost track at 28 swarms in 2018. The Plywood is 3/8" 6 FRAME TRAP BUILD DIMENTIONS 2 Qty. 19 1/4 x 16 2 Qty. 9 1/4 x 15 3/8 2 Qty. 2 x 10 1 Qty. 18 1/4 x 9 1/4 5 FRAME TRAP BUILD DIMENTIONS 2 Qty. 19 1/4 x 16 2 Qty. 7 1/2 x 15 3/8 2 Qty. 2 x 10 1 Qty. 18 1/4 x 7 1/2 I use 5 and 6 frame nucs boxes so i build 1 lid or top cover to work for both. 13 x 23 and i but 2 x 4's to 1/2" for the sides of the lids.
