How To Build a Double Deep Firewood Storage Rack - Free Plans

The main frame that supports the logs is made from 2 x 6's. The posts are 4 x 4s and connected to the frame with lap joints. After getting the rack into position and adding a 4 x 4 posts at the ends, I used a 2 x 6 at each outer edge and a 2 x 10 in the center to hold the logs . The idea for this design is the logs will spend the gap with a small space between the two rows And be suspended a little more than a foot off the ground. This will allow for airflow and keep the wood dry.
