After the long-awaited death of his father Aegon the Unworthy, Daeron II Targaryen became one of the finest kings in Targaryen history. Without dragons and with immense political tension surrounding the legitimization of Daemon Blackfyre, Bloodraven, Bittersteel, Shiera Seastar, and the rest of Aegon IV's children, Daeron the Good was able to keep the realm thriving. That is, until his younger half-brother Daemon Blackfyre rebelled. Why did he wait so long to begin the Blackfyre Rebellion? Did he and Daenerys love each other? How did the Targaryens win at the Redgrass Field. Of course, Bloodraven is always involved... Occurring a century after House of the Dragon and a century before Game of Thrones (and in the midst of the Dunk & Egg stories like The Hedge Knight), Daeron's strong reign was never quite seen again in Westeros.
