HORSE trekking in MONGOLIA

This week we go horse riding in Mongolia. A journey to the legendary land of the nomads, their unique lifestyle and connection to horses. Nick works once per year as a motorbike guide and this year, he got Mongolia. It haas been Mathilde's dream for years to travel there. She took it as a cue to go horse ride in Western Mongolia at the Altai mountain range. Hail storms (thank you Matador for gearing us up with the most compact and high-quality gear, intense but pain from the long hours on the saddle, non stop change of plans and no one around speaks our language.. so many things that could never diminish the beauty of a journey like this one. The human connections made, overcoming fear, the exceptional animals, and the new friends made. There are things we are not ready to forget... and this journey through Mongolia is part of it!
