Honeywell Generator No Compression - Will it Run?

I picked up this Honeywell generator from Craigslist. According to the seller it was in good running condition, but has been in storage for a while and will no longer start. Should be an easy fix, most likely a fuel issue. While repairing the carburetor the engine lost compression. Now the head has to be pulled off this Honda Clone 420 cc engine in order to repair the engine.
