High Performance C# Code -- by and with Lachlan Barclay
High Performance C# Code by Lachlan Barclay.
Is your application slow? Do you know where the bottlenecks are? How do you take the guesswork out and start making measurable differences? Benchmark.net and Visual Studio's profiler are great for working out what's slow. This talk will give a quick overview of both and a few live demos!
Lachlan Barclay has been a professional software developer for 20 years (7,359 days). He wrote and maintains the Retirement Income Simulator in his role as the lead software developer at Mercer Australia. He has worked for CSIRO, Telstra, Fosters, Sensis, Intrepid Travel, CBM, Defence, Crown Casino & HP. He loves 한글 but he's really bad at it.
He's written articles for oWasp, volunteered at Rhok, been the guitarist in Toehider and played guitar, bass and drums many times at church. He's written mobile apps, built an Arduino MIDI foot pedal, released a few albums, been on TV, ascended Nethack and got a Grand Master rank in Tetris.
