Hidden bunker discovered on our mill site! Meeting with Juan for Landscape strategy.

In this episode we discover a hidden bunker on site from years of overgrowth. Our Landscaper Juan comes up with a strategy for clearing our build site. After clearing and taking control of the Kudzu we can bring in civil and structural to review the future cabin sites! The Story: Left the corporate world and moved into a ~200 y/o abandoned mill to bring it back to life. This ambitious adventure includes building cabins around the property for visitors to experience this one-of-a-kind site and renovating the massive historical mill into a unique cultural center (The Hab Lab). The HabLab’s vision is to promote the arts community and create a destination for cultural activities. We have over 200,000SF of existing buildings located on more than 100 acres along the Soquee River to master plan, design and build. Our goal is to create a destination and event space for the public, a design center for education programs, as well as gallery, studio, and venue space for groups and individuals focusing on their craft. It’s exciting to imagine the eclectic variety ranging from artists, musicians, and theater to artisans, designers, and various trades working with wood, metal and glass.
