Hanson Hills 50mi (XCM race) 2023

The race starts with a neutral rollout and after about 1.5 miles we were cut loose and the race began. The race consists of 2 laps after the neutral loop. This was the last time this race will be held as the promotor has retired. I haven't been on the MTB much and this race was only my 4th time on the trails all year. I didn't push this race too hard as my skills felt a bit sketchy and I was still recovering from an accident early in the year. Additionally an accident at the beginning of the single track just confirmed that there was no need to go beyond my comfort zone. So I just kept it strong but safe and finished 7th. *Sorry for the constant squeaky pedal, I thought I had fixed it prior to the race but apparently I did not. *My rear camera fell off at 03:28:52 but I didn't realize that what I loss. Luckily the trail director was able to recover my camera and mail it back to me later in the week! Thanks Hanson Hills staff!!! 👉 Hey!
