Hang Gliding - SARONA, ISRAEL - Jan 21st 2025

First time flying in this site. It looks like a simple launch site, but has been the most accident prone site in Israel, with numerous injuries and a fatality. Stronger winds a bit earlier (30-35 kph) so refrained from launching, which meant I launched too late (15-20 kph) :) Spent 20 min. in the air, lost height early due to not holding close enough to the ridge (per warnings from other pilots). Turbulent landing site. If I had kept the flare longer it would have been better.
