Hands Drawing Hands
Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday! Today, I'd like to talk about a special drawing ritual I follow whenever I start a new sketchbook: drawing my hands as they draw! This habit not only helps me break the curse of the blank page but also is a fun and challenging practice. In this video, I'll walk you through my process using a Fabriano Venezia sketchbook, a Sailor fountain pen with a fude nib, watercolors, and a water brush. I demonstrate step-by-step, from starting by drawing the tip of the pen to capturing the details and proportions of my hands (wobbly and wonky!), even as they move and change positions. 💡 Pro Tip: If you want to warm up, start by drawing your non-dominant hand first! Whether you're a beginner or looking to strengthen your skills, drawing your hands is a fantastic exercise. Plus, I'll share a few watercolor tips to bring your sketches to life. Join the Community!
