Hamiltonians brace for tariff impact as Ford threatens to ‘turn off the switch’

There’s a warning tonight that just about every individual in a city like Hamilton could feel the pain from President Donald Trump’s 25 per cent tariffs on steel and aluminum. There’s also another warning that Americans should think twice about tariffs if they want to keep their lights on. Progressive Conservative Leader Doug Ford was in Washington today where he made a point of talking about electricity from Ontario powering areas of the US. He says Ontario electricity could reach as far south as Florida, but he also says it wouldn’t be hard to turn off the switch.
