Grafana Alloy, Grafana Beyla, and OpenTelemetry Demos | ObservabilityCON 2024

This recorded session from ObservabilityCON 2024 provides a a live demo of Alloy, Beyla, and OpenTelemetry. Our Grafanistas show how, with a single deployment, you can instantly get your data into Grafana Cloud for unified application and infrastructure observability. Grafana Alloy is our open source distribution of the OpenTelemetry Collector, and uniquely provides native pipelines for both OpenTelemetry and Prometheus telemetry formats. With Alloy’s integration with Grafana Beyla for eBPF-based application auto-instrumentation, Alloy users can automatically capture metrics and traces of running services and connect them to their existing telemetry pipelines. Alloy also recently added an experimental feature for translating Datadog metric formats into native OTLP format.
