Get to love being in the garden in late winter/early spring by growing the best spring flowering plants. You don’t need red roses on Valentine’s Day when you can have the wonderfully fragrant Daphne bholua ‘Jacqueline Postill’ right by your door. This wonderful evergreen (in Bunny’s garden it can loose leaves in colder areas) ) has been flowering since early January and is still going strong on Valentine’s Day.
Bunny talks through her favourite plants for flowering in what can be a bleak time of year. Plant them to entice you out into the garden (there is certainly lots to be doing there now) or where you can enjoy them from a window. Don’t forget that the insects also benefit from having plants to forage from now.
